ANNUAL COMPETITIONS. (press association telegham.) . • DUNEDIN, March 7. The competitions held under the auspices of the United Fir© Brigades' Association were brought to a conclusion on the Exhibition Sports Ground on Saturday. As on the three previous ' days there was very keen competition, and ■ some fast times were again recorded. Four events had to be decided, and it was after sunset 'before the Hawera team completed tho last run of the day. This team was expected .to win the disabled hose event five men. but they met with misfortune, and did not get a test. Hawera, however, secured the majority'of . placings, and won the .Dominion c/<i.*impionship for the second year. The teum's placmgs were:, First in No. 2, No. 5, No. 6.
