Harbour Board Picnic, The Lyttelton Harbour Board and employees' picnic, which was postponed from January 30th last owing to rain, will be held at Ashburton Domain on Saturday next. A specierl train will leave Lyttelton at 9 a.m.. stopping at Heathcote, Woolston, Opawa, and Liriwood. and leaving Christehurch at 9.28 a.m. The return train will leave Ashburton at 6,1 p.m., arriving at Christehurch at 7.43 p.m., and Lyttelton at 8.3 p.m. Yachting. The Canterbury Yacht and Motor Boat Club held two races on. Saturday, with results as follows: Yacht Race (Open);— Magpie (28min) 1, lona (2min) 2, Usher <2smin) 3. Thyllis (16min) and Waterbeetle (17min) also started. Sailing Dinghy . Race (Boys)— Victory (Imin) 1, Isobel (4min) 2, Ariki (scr) 3. Myrtle (4ihin) and Resolute (12min) also started, the latter retiring before the finish. Harbour Light Theatre. There was a full house at the Harbour Light Theatre on Saturday night, when "The White Monkey," a First National drama, starring Barbara La Marr, was screened, together with a comedy, cartoon, and scenic. An old favourite, in the person of Mr Robert Alison, appeared at the evening session, and his three songs, "On With the Motley," "Moonlight and Roses," and "It's Quiet Down Hero," left the audience clamouring for more. The picture portion of the'programme will be repeated to-night. To-mor-row' "This Woman," featuring Irene Rich and. Louise Faaenda, will be screened. The supporting programme includes an Our Gang comedy, a cartoon, and a further episode of "Samson of the Circus."
