THE HIGH SCHOOLS.
OLD AND NEW BUILDINGS. The opening ceremony of the Hoys' Higli School in Straven road. Jticcarton, will be performed by the Hon. eir James Parr between February Ist and February 4th. The actual date has not been fiied yet. The school term on February Ist, and one suggestion is that the building should be opened when the boys are assembled ior tho lirst time.

' The old central hall on the first floor will bo used as lecture room, and will have a stepped floor. Only one new room, at. the east end. will be added.
