POISONS ACT.
WELLINGTON CHEMIST FIXED. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TF.LEGKA3I.) WELLINGTON. January 15. A young woman recently committed auicido by poison in Wellington, and among tho witnesses at the inquest was a chemist, who gave evidence as to selling her the poison, which she said was to, kill' a cat, anil for which she signed the book. The chemist, Mark Herbert Davis, was to-day charged with selling poison and failing to got particulars from tho buyer, and also failing to notify the Registrar of suclr particulars, as required by the Poisons Act. He was fined £5 on- tho first charge and £1 on the second.
