The 6d and 4d return tickets will be available for seasido residents also, if purchased between 0.12 a.m. and noon. They may return to the seaside at any time during the day. The Season's Greetings. From the chairman of the Heathcote County Council and from the Upper Sanatorium, Cashmere Hills, were received cards conveying the season's greetings. The chairman wished the members of the Board, the Board's staff, and the representatives of the Press, a Merry Christmas. . On the motion of Mr Wood, seconded by Mr White, a. vote of thanks was accorded to the Board's staff. , Miscellaneous. The St. Martins Burgesses' Association wrote thanking the Board for better service, and asking for 3 tram to leave the Square at 10 p.m. on Sundays.—Referred to the AVorks and Traffic Committee. Mrs Phillip, Stratford street, Pendalton, wrote expressing thanks to tho Board for having provided a seat for waiting passengers. Mr J. J. Dougall wrote that a passenger who had refused to leave the platform of » car had been convicted and ordvegd to pay costs totalling 30s. Tho General Manager said that the person convicted had been abusive to the conductor, hence the prosecution.
