Members of the State Ministry were taken to task at a Parliamentary Labour caucus, for having expressed publicly diverse opinions on matters of Labour policy. • They •were given to understand that in. future they must not enter into a controversy on any subject that might tend to split the Labour movement. The reprimand is the outcome of the denunciation of Communists and the Red element in Labour ranks by several Ministers following on the defeat of the Labour Party at the Federal elections.

ANTI-COMMUNIST PLEDGE. RECALCITRANT LABOURITES EXPELLED, BBISBANE, November 28. 'A' meeting of the Brisbane executive ■of the Australian. Labour Party dealt with the position of members who haive not signed the anti-Communist pledge and decided that every member of the executive be required to sign tho antiDommunist pledge, and any member: refrain": to comply will not be allowed to retain his seat on the executive. All members except Messrs Moroney and Rymer signed the pledge and those two, who represent the Railway Union, were expelled from the executive.
