POUNDING OF CANTERBURY ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS. Special celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding, of Canterbury will be held from December 12th to December 16th The programme, as arranged to date, will be:— v Saturday, December 12th. Complimentary luncheon at 12.30 to the pioneers who arrived by the first six ships (Randolph, Charlotte Jane, Sir George Seymour, Cressy, Castle Eden, Isabella Hercus). Shortly after 2 p.m. the historical pageant and procession through the City, demonstrating the development and progress during the past 75 years, will leave Park •terrace for the City, via Armagh street. At 6 p.m. a public tea meeting will be held in the Caledonian Hall, the guests of honour being the pioneers who arrived by the first 6is ships or earlier. Sunday, December 13th. 11 a,m.—Special service in the Cathedral. 11 ajn.—Special service for children in King Edward Barracks. 3 p.m.—General thanksgiving semce in King Edward Barracks. 6.15 p.m.—Special service in Holy Trinity Church, Lyttelton. 8.15 p.m.—Special band concert in Victoria square. Monday, December 14th. 8 p.m.—Scottish music in Victoria square by Highland Pipe and Caledonian Society Bands. Tuesday, December 15th. 8 p.m.—Commemoration concert and historical tableaux in Caledonian Hn.ll, Wednesday, December 16th. 2 p.m.—Garden party in Holy Trinity Church and vicarage grounds, Lyttelton.

3.15 pari.—Service in Holy Trinity Lhurch. Speaker, Rev. A. J. Petrie. 4.30 p.m.—The pioneers will assemble at Lyttelton railway station and, escorted by the Lyttelton Marine Band, will proceed to the Drill Hall, where they will be entertained bv the Mayor and Mrs Sutton, assisted bv the Town Councillors and citizens of I,vttelton, pti pociai gaihfirjng,
