£8 A WEEK EN AUCKLAND. (special to "the raxss.") AUCKLAND, November 27. Tramway passengers leave all -manner of articles behind them whon they alight, but it may come as a surprise, to learn that money found by the conductors in the Auckland trams amounts to almost £3 a week on the average. The Tramways Manager reported to the City Council ffiat unclaimed money found in purses, etc., by conductors during six months, to June 30th, totalled £2Ol. A sum, of £SB 7a 2d was still unclaimed. The Council decided that subject to this being legally in order, the balance in hand should be paid to tho Tramway Sick and Accident Fund.
