MOTOR SMASH.
OCCUPANTS ESCAPE SERIOUS INJURY. A Buick car, driven by Mr Charles Stevens, and a small Overland car, driven by Mr Leonard McKinnon, of 223 Shirley road, collided at the intersection of Stanmore road and River road on the south s!u& of Stanmore bridge yesterday morning, and the occupants had sensational escapes. Mr Stevens had with him his father> Mr H. F* Stevens, wholesale chemist, of 103-105 Worcester 6treet, and two little girls, and Mr McKinnon had two, passengers. Mr Stevens, sen'br, was severely bruised, and suffered slight injuries to his back, but the other people involved in the accident escaped with slight glass wounds and shock. Mr Stevens was travelling towards the City along River road from the direction of New Brighton, and Mr McKinnon was proceeding along Stanmore road towards Richmond. The Buick was overturned after the impact and the radiator of the Overland was' crumpled in. The plale-glass of the windows and windscreens of both cars were totally shattered. After the accident the injuries of the occupants of the cars were attended to at their own homes.
