WIDOW'S CLAIM FAILS. (PBBSS ABSOCIATTOH TBLIOBAM.) WELLINGTON, November 27. Before Mr Justice Alpers and a jury of twelve the.hearing was concluded in the Supreme Court of the oase in Srhich Maud Ellen Nich/rison, widow of the chief officer of the Ripple, claimed £ISOO damages from Richardson and Co - '■■■■••■.. -, . " , At the conclusion of his Honour's summing up the jury retired, returning forty-five minutes latejr with a verdict for the defendant, company. A rider was added to the effect that in the opinion of the jury all coastal ships at -sea' should communicate with the Meteorological Office.
