ROWING.
HENLEY-ON-AVON. REGATTA ARRANGEMENTS. The Henley-on-A-von Regatta Committee met last evening, when Archdeacon Taylor presided over a good attendance. It was decided to allow the inclusion of "Durktown" crews in the procession. \t was decided to award £3 3s as. first prize for the decorated boats and £1 Is a,s a second prize. It was resolved to ask Mr A. F. Nicoll and Mrs F. R. Dudley to judge the decorated boat coni relation. The stalls will b e as follows:—Sweets, Mrs C. J. Treleaven; variety and cakes, Mrs 3. P. Andrews, Mrs C. M. Ollivier, and Miss F. Hiatt; refreshments, £,t. Luke's Rangers and committee; tobacco, cigarettes, and -balloons, Mrs H. S. E. Turner; icecream and soft drinks, Mrs Matthews; sideshows, Mr C. Throp. The First Canterbury Regimental Band is to assist at the regatta. ,; The Hon. Mrs Tahu Rhodes wrote stating that, under her doctor's orderß, she would not bo able to open the regatta and to present the prizes, and it was decided to ask Lady Rhodes to act iu this capacity. The Union Rowing Club advised that it had several pleasure boats that it would not b* using, and these were offered lor the use of any young ladies who wished to enter in the dec-orated boat competition.—The chairman stated" that even if the ladies did not wish to enter in the competition the boats could be manned by girls with paper parasols, etc., and this would enliven the scene. ~ , The draw for the inter-club races resulted as .under: T , .
