'.Received November 20th, 8.10 p.m.) SIDNEY November 25. At a stop-work meeting of the Sydney branch of the 'Waterside Workers' federation the subject of the deportation of Mulsh and Johnson was nob mentioned. 1 ho view is freely expressed that if the leaders of the Seamen's Union are deported there will bo no strike of waterside workers. When the case of Walsh and Johnson came beforo tho Full Cburfc, the latter decided that, as the application had been removed to the High Court, the Full Court could not proceed with the matter. Counsel for Walsh and Johnson, have now decided to appeal to the Privy Council against this decision, on the ground that tho Full Court is in error in surrendering its jurisdiction to the High Court. Tho appeal will not be lodged till after the habeas corpus proceedings in tho High Court have been determined. Counsel intend to appeal direct to the Privy Council without applying for leave.
