Employees of two big bacon lactones at l'rcston and Ballarat, respectively, struck following the employers' refusal lo grant a demand for 10 per cent, increase in wages. The strike has thrown the industry into chaos:, as other employers feel unsafe to make forward arrangements. Accordingly, employees throughout the industry havo been given 14 days' notice of dismissal.
