THE EXHIBITION.
RECORD-BREAKING ATTENDANCES. (PKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN,, November 25. The New Zealand and South Seas International Exhibition has made a -wonderful stqjt, with the remarkable attendance. of 150,-170 for the first seven days, and this ill spite of the unfavourable weather over the week-end, which still continues. November is always a month of uncertain •weather; in. 3>unedin, and it is reasonable to expect tliat with settled summer conditions, when the holiday crowds begin to reach Dunediu, tho attendance will surpass all previous records. It seems to be the unanimous opinion that in the magnificence of tho official courts of the British and Dominion Governments, the high quality of the private exhibitors' displays, and the (variety of the attractions outside tho main pavilions and in the Amusemout Park, the Exhibition has surpassed all expectations. Local newspapers frequently publish striking tributes from oarly visitors from the North Island and Australia, confirming this statement. Tho Argyll and Sutherland 'Highlanders' Band has triumphantly vindicated the directors' hold decision in bringing it out from England at great expease. Its wonderful Dopularity was demonstrated to-night when in spite of wet weather, a tremendous crowd filled the big Festival Hall, where the band played instead of at its usual fine weather location in the Grand Court.
Concerts by the CSty Colleges are booked for Thursday and Friday nights, and the big Masonic gathering, attended l>v the Governor-General, on Saturday night.
