At last night's meeting of the Christchurch City Council it was reported by the Abattoir and Reserves Committer that the Sydenham Band Rotunda was in a dangerous state and had been closed for all purposes. The City Engineer had inspected the structure and his estimate to put it in a thorough state of repair was £136. As this amount could not be provided out of this year's vote for the maintenance of rotundas, it was recommended that a special vote for this purpose be placed on next year's estimates. The suggestion was adopted.
