CHARITY AT CHRISTMAS.
TO THS BDITOK Or "THE PX153." Sir.—lt is to be hoped that the Elections, Paces, Show, Exhibition, etc., will not detract people from their usual custom of charity. Christmas will soon be here. The people are saving up for a trip to the Duuedin Exhibition,. and the sports for the races. Now, between the two exciting events, the children may be forgotten this time. To leave preparations for Christinas until after the rush would be similar to holding a benefit carnival too long after pay day, and as your patter is the leading one in all charitable causes, may 1 ask you, Sir, to print these few lines —Yours, etc.. 3IAKY.
