In pursuance of its policy of retrenchment, the Admiralty announces that all H. and K. class submarines wiil ho scrapped, except K26, which, with the four L class submarines, will form the reconstituted first submarine flotilla. Special reserve engineer-officers will bo abolished and special reserve Royal Marine officers reduced. The second cruiser squadron will be reduced," H.M.S. Calliope being plated in reserve. One of tho destroyer ilotillas attached to the Atlantic Fleet will be reduced to the reserve. Tho reductions also affected a number of tenders attached to tho harbour training establishments at home ports.
