The self-styled "Commandant-Gen-eral of the Republican Army and Director of Intelligence attached to G.H.Q.," Michael Carolan, was found guilty, in Dublih. under tue new'' Treasonable Offences Act, of participating in the formation of an organisation or body purporting to be a ■military force, which was not established or maintained by the law. , A detective said that he found accused in a room entered by means of a trap-door, and also found a number of documents headed '-Headquarters 1.R.A." Sentence was postponed.
