WEST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. • ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the 'West Christchurch Cricket Club was held last night. Dr. P. S. Foster presiding over a good attendance of members. The animal report stated that the club had entered five teams in the. Canterbury Association's rompci.itinns last season. Although the club had not performed so meritoriously as in the previous season, it had acquitted itself exceedingly well considering the unsettled state of things caused by the withdrawal of the majoritv of the mii bovs of Christ's College and Ilie Boys' High School. After outlining the performances of the various teams, the report went on -to state that the financial position of the club was sound. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of Z7. lis !I<l. and when assured outstanding .subscription conic to hand there would be a creilit l.ahince of at least £lO.

CITY COUNCIL CLUB

At the annual meeting of the City Council Cr.ickct Club, Mr L.. Saunders presided over a fair attendance.

MALVERN ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Malvern Cricket Association was held in the Dar£cld Memorial Hall, -the president, Mr R. G. Robinson, presiding. Thirteen, delegates were present, representing the following clubs :—Grcendale, Darfeld, Sheffield, Xirwoe, and Hororata. The balance-sheet, which- showed a credit balanco of £G lCs, together with a brief summary of last season a activities, showing points gained by the respective clubs in tbo Association's competitions, and also the averages of representative piftyars, was adopted ae read. During the evening the president, Mr K. G. Eobineon, presented the Association shield to the- Sheffield delegate, the Sheffield Club being the winners of the past season. Mr J. GunnA accepted the shield on behalf of' Sheffield and briefly responded. A short discussion took place on a recommendation brought j forward regarding appointing umpires to/ act during the coming season. Clubs are to be asked to arrange for umpires to act for them during the ensuing season. It was also decided, to i«su e a challenge for the Sub-Association shiold, if suitable dates could bo arranged; also to play the annualmatches against Ellesmere on Anniversary Day and Ashbnrton on a date to be arranged.
