Two good horses Mark Time and Quiescent ended their careers at- Wanganui during the past few days. Mark Time was a really good handicap horse, and Quiescent, 'besides winning handicap races last seaspn, was successful in the Now Zealand St. Leger. Mark Time was destroyed, taring been found to be suffering from a form of paralysis, while Quiescent'g death -was caused through peritonitis, following upon

Bisox, by Bisogne—Cheshire Creeper, who won the Railway Hack Handicap at Wanganui on Saturday, appears to he something more- than a useful hack. He'has only raced twice and has won each time. The fields he has beaten may not havo been the best in their class, but he has done his work well at the right end. Through BLsox's dam a nice return is made to the St. Leger in Bisogne's pedigree, Cheshire Creeper being by Cheshire from Cling, a daughter of the St. Leger mare Crfeper, and tho concentration of so good a line may provide tho Dominion with a good handicap performer if not something even better.
