SYDNEY, September 14, There was a large gathering at a pilgrimage to Samuel Marsden's tomb, St. John's cemetery, Parrauiatta, in connexion with the Church . Missionary Society's Centenary celebrations. Bishop Taylor-Smith,-of South Africa, in the course of an address, said that no arithmetic had yet been written that could truly estimate the value of a good man. Marsden wa3 greai; because be was good. His greatest work was pioneering missionary work in NewZealand. INlarsdeu, from being a man of purpose, bec-ane a man of power. Nothing daunted him. Difficulties only drove him nearer to God.
