Dispatches from Paris stato that the Council of Ministers has approved the reply to Germany, which will be transmitted to Eomo and Brussels. Mm, Briand and Berthclot are leaving Paris for a fortnight's holiday. Tho "Daily Nows" editorially states: "M. Briand is a courteous and vivacious guest, and wo aro all pleased to see him, hut for the real furtherance of the Pact he should uot have como to London, but have gone to Borlin." Political circles aro disappointed with the London negotiations, which they consider have not helped to bring to a conclusion a Security Pact sucli as Germany desires. Tho report that M>. Briand and Mr Austen Chamberlain iigreed that Germany must enter tho League uncondi* tionally caused a shock. So has tho assertion that Franco may wago war against Germany in certain eventualities. Tho news that Poland and Czechoslovakia aro likely to be invited to the eventual Pact cohferenco is also received suspiciously. FRONTIER QUESTIONS. FRANCO-GERMAN AGREEMENT. (RECTER's TELEQItAaS.) An agreement regarding tho delimjtation of tho Franco-German frontier particularly tho question of tho Ithiiie bridgee, haa been signed by the FrancoGerman representatives.
