Sydney was reached on August 20th, apd Melbourne on August StHh: both cities gave the visiting fleet elaborate and enthusiastic welcomes: on September 11th the fleet reached Albanv. and from there went to Manila and* Yokohama, where the officers were entertained by the Milcado in October. Visits were made to Chefu (China), Colombo. Aden, Gibraltar, aifl other Mediterranean ports, the fleet reaching New York about the end of February, 1909.
