BAND CONCERT.
A concert in aid of the Unemployment Fund was given in King Edward Barracks yesterday by the Woolston Band. Owing to the wet weather there was, a poor attendance and the collection amounted to £6 Is. The Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer) thanked the band for its concert and the audience for its patronage and contributions. The programme was as follows March, "Jack o'Lantern" (Rinimer); overture, "Napoleon" (Bilton), Hawaiian Intermezzo, "Malirida's Bowc'" (Hume); Dale dances, Nos. 1, 2 and 3; "Largo" (Handel); selection, "Adelson e Salvini" (Bellini); and march, "Machine Gun Guards" (Marchal).
