MAGISTERIAL. SATURDAY. (Before llr Wyvern Wilson, S.il.) ' DIIUNItENNESS. For the second time within six months, William Brown, of Christchurch, was charged with drunkenness. Brown, who had been bailed out of tlic- lock-up, was convicted'and fined 20s, in default .48 hour 3' imprisonment. YOUTtT ■ SENTENCED. Appearing on remani '{or Bentonco on a charge of having stolen IC : 3, a aeventeon-year-okt youth, John Gmppelaar, had; nothing to say. Kis Worship convicted and formally sentenced the youth to 14 days' imprisonment to enable tho authorities to have Gruppeldar placed in the Oto.lcaike School, which is a special school for such boys. In the .meantime 'he Hd will -be in the caro of the Juvenile Probation Officer.
