WAIAU.

The members of the All Saints' Mission Guild met to pack the gifts which arc sent annually to the Melanesian Mission. A splendid assortment of useful articles was given by members and supporters of the Guild, and they made a most satifactorv consignment. The Rev. W/iT. T.'Dyefj who occupies the chair, discussed with members the best way of raising funds in aid of mission work, and also of helping children in the Orphanage near Nelson.

WAIKUKU. The "Waikuku Methodist Ladies Guild met in the church vestry. Mis Morgan occupied the chair. It was decided to buy material with which to hold a sale of work. The "Waikuku Mutual Improvement Society held its weekly meeting in th© Methodist C-hiJfclih vestry. A merry t.inie was spent with games aaul competitions. The winner of the "lo?al names" competition was Miss .Tudson. Amongst those present were Miss H. Bunting. Mit>s Ma-vis Cross. .Miss H. Judson, Mis Jean Judson, Miss Cathie McMillan, Miss Daphne MicQuillnn, -Miss Gwen Morean, Miss M. Orchard. Miss Ada RobbjMiss-M. Sloane. Rev. W. B Cuming. Mr P. Ellis. Mr P. McMillan. Mr T>. Morriss, Mr G. Orchard. Mr E. llobb. Mr J : Hobb. An enjoyable supper was handed round.

akaroA. The choir of tho Presbyterian Church, accompanied l>y the Rev. F. J. Tylee and Mrs Tvlee, paid a visit to Pigeon Bnv. The choir contributed a number of anthems, while the individual performers were Misses Elsie Keegan, M. MeNab, Alice Hall, and Kathleen Curry, and Mr A. I' 1 . Williamson. Mrs C-. Hall acted afj accompanist. The Bay people thoroughly enjoyed the music, and at tho closo Mr E. Hay, on their behalf, expressed appreciation of tho performance.

ROkLEST ON. The Ilolleston Hall presented an animated appearance on tlu> occasion of th© school children's concert. The cdnceri) (which was capably managed by Mr Charles Laivrcnco, jun., of Islington) was one. of the best) hold, in the hall for some considerable time and was muck appreciated by all. Tho programme was as follows:—lnstrumental selections, tho Chambers family; pianoforte solo, Miss Bessio Tayler (Weedons); song, school children; song, Miss Isabel Davidson: humorous songs and j>%tt©r, Sir Charles Lawrence, iua.; jfecitatioas Mr Lawrftiveo, sen.; pianoforte solo, Miss Chambers j tsonga, Mrs Chambers, jun. (West Melton); Irish Jig, MM Lindsay (Spfingston); 'song, Mr W. Upton; duet, Mr G'haipwuj. and Mr Vpfcon; song, Mi* nett; jazz sections, Messrs Chapman and Lawson (Chrls-tchurch). After the. coficert Mr L. J. Itagg (chairman)thanked the performers for their kindness in coming forward and making the concert &uch a success, also the parents and visitors for tboir loyal patronage, not forgetting the committee for the way they had worked to get the concert party together. Supper was then handed round and the hall cleared for dancing, the music being supplied by Miss M. Griffiths (Prebbleton). Extras were played by Miss Thelina Whyto and Messrs Chapman and Lav/son.
