PARKER V. M'DONALD. The meeting between EBdie Parker and Lachie Macdonald, at the Kins Edward Barracks to-morrow, should settle tho question of superiority between the two. Up to date they have met three times, Macdonald winning on points on tho first occasion, and the two other contests ending in a draw. Notwithstanding the fact that Macdonald hps a victory over Parked, the latter is a Sligl t favfturite, for ha is a sblid little fifehter with a great defence ( and can be depended upon to go the full journey of 15 rounds. Macdodkld has become very popular by reason of the good forth ho hfcs shovm in public and Christchurch patrons will' be delighted with his open class - offighting. So far as physique is concerned there is not much to chose between the pair, and it is seldom that patrons ttf the flsti'c art ktb 'given an opportunity of seeing two " such evenly matched men pitted against one another. A first-class programme of amateur bouts has been arranged . .to precede the professional contest, and in thesfe the best of Christchurih talent will compete.
