ST. ALBANS BOWLING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. Members of the bowl in? section or the St. Albans Bowline, Tennis, and Cioquet Club a.'srmbled last night to review the year's work, and to discuss matters in connexion with the competitions for the ensuing season. "Although not successful in winning tither tlic tour rinks championship or ths pennan'3 competition arranged by the Centre, the club reached the semi-final in the latter,' - stated the annual report. AVood, in seconding the motion, said that to win the competitions was only a secondary consideration. H. Boseand and M. Jackson; secretary. Mr H. L. Leverstan; Match Committee. 'Messrs J. X. De Feu, H. B. Oakey and AV. G. Brass; delegates to Eixecutivo, Committee, Messrs J. X. De Feu and E. W. AA'ade; delegate to Christchurch Centre, Mr H. B. Oakey. Dissatisfaction was expressed with the four rink competition, and after some discussion it was decid-ed to forward a recommendation to the Centre, that for the ensuing year the senior competition Vike the form of an eight rink competition. In regard, to the club competitions, it was deefdod that the usual three championships be played; viz., the singles, doubles and rinks. . , After some discussion, it was decided that the competition games be played on.the two life sy?tem. ■ Messrs T. Kirker and J. D. Benton offered <i. trophv for competition ina twobowl double, which it was proposed should bo instituted in lien of the handicap double. It was decided to forward this recommendation to the Match Committee. It w-s resolved that each rink be allowed to plav only the substitute in the club nnlt competition game to consist of sixteen heads. It was decided to forward a recommendation to tho Executive Committee that a motor lawn mower bo purchased.
