What is claimed to be the longest yacht race in tho history of the sport, frota San Francißco to Papeete, is to start on Wednesday, June 10th, when three sdhooners and a, ketch are to spread their sails at the Golden Gate, The distance is between 3500 and 4000 miles.
The yachts are Mr L. A. Noiris's Mariner, Mr John Pivors's Bloise, Dr. E. R. Parker's Idalia, and Mr Mark Foxanas's Shawnei.
The first three fly the flag of the San Francisco Yacht Club. •
