NOTES. A wonderful run of successes was established by the Harley-Davidson in the great Queensland test of the year, tho Brisbane Motor-Cycle Club's 500 Milo Reliability Trial. Eight HarlcyDavidsons started, and eight finished, they winning the best solo performance, the best side-car performance, and the team's prize. The HarleyDavidsons annexed both speed, hillclimbing and reliability contests.

A Victorian motor-cyclist. recently, after travelling through practically the whole of Victoria on his Scout, proceeded into the sister State, and succeeded in doing" the seventeen miles of steep climbing from the Hotel Kosciusko to within a short distance of the summit of Mt. Kosciusko with perfect case. His machine took the steep grade without faltering. Snow blocked the route 11 miles from the summit, and prevented his further progress. Mt. Kosciusko is 7300 feet above sea level, but the rarificd and snow-laden atmosphere made, no difference to the steady running of the §cout engine.

Lieutenant-Colonel Stewart, E.]S T ., and Mrs G. M. Stewart, his wife, were the riders who secured for the Kudge-motor-bicycle the world's 24-hours' record. It was on the Mbntlherv Track, near Paris, that this couple, well known in sporting circles, piled up the score which secured for thein the muchcoveted record, covering 1300 miles at an average speed of 54 miles per hour. Tho machine used Svas a, 3.4G h.p. Hudge-Whitworth, 4-valve, 4-specd motor-bicycle.
