SALVING THE CYRENA.
—«♦ EXCITING EPISODES. " (pfcß9« ASSOCIAUOJ: TELEGRAM.} j . WAXGANUI, June 3. It was impossible to attempt to refloat the Cyrena to-day owing to rough weather, but it if> expected the steamer will be brought into port to-morrow. Two exciting episodes occurred today. Tvlr Lovegiove, superintendent of stevedores, was washed overboil id I'rom the'lighter Maua, but was miraculously .saved grasping a rope whir'h had also gone overboard. The other incident concerned Air Ilaszaru, engineer to the Harbour JJoard, who TOit out -00 yards on a "line to get possession of a buoyed rope from the Cyrcna. , There was a very large c'rowd of periplo on tiie bcaeh, and the fact that a buoyed rope was put out from the Cyrena gave rise to a report that the steamer was breakings up. This is very-far-of the mark, as the Cyrena, except for ft hole caused when she hit an obstruction on is quite uninjured.
