INVESTITURE AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE. (FRES3 ASSOCIATION ' TEUKHIAM.) "WELLINGTON, June 3. In honour of the King's birthday, their Excellencies the 'Governor-Gen-eral and Lady Alice Fcrgussou entertained Ministers of the C'rovvn and their wives at dinner at Government House this evening, prior to an investiture arid reception. > At the investiture his Excellency conferred the honour of knighthood upon the mi on. Sir Christopher James Purr, and invested liini with the insignia ot' Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and Rt. George. His Excellency also presented letters patent of knighthood to Sir Frederick Trub.v King, C'.M.G.; to Mr Frank Milner, Rector of the Wyitaki Boys' ll.ig!i School, Oamam, his badge as Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael'und St. George; and to the Honourable Major Joseph Gordon C'oates, M.C., M.P.,"Prime Minister of Now Zealand, and Colonel Herbert Hart, C.8., C.M.G., D.5.0., the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers' Decoration which had been awarded to them.
