DRINKING AMONG WOMEN.
(press association telegram.) DUXEDIN, Juno 1. At the annual meetirtg of the Dunediii Licensing Committee, the chair-" man stated that the committee hfld passed a resolution that they viewed with alarm the increased number of woirion drinking in licensed houses, largely due to the provision of rooms apart from private bars. The committee had decided to brincr the _ matj, tei before the Minister of Justice ifi the hope that it would be adequately dealt with.
