The- newspapers are confident that the Allies will take steps to secure themselves against the return of German aggression.

Newspaper comments in Belgrade on Hindcnburg's election, is pessimistic. Tho semi-official organ ''Ketch" declares that the election is a fresh defiance to Europe and the civilised world. Tho election will bo the starting point of a. campaign for an amendment cf all the treaties and the elimination of all obstacles in the -way of Germany again becoming mistress of the world.

The "Daily Telegraph's" diplomatic correspondent gathers that shortly before the German Presidential election, assurances reached London from Berlin, to the effect that Hindcnburg's election would not involve any change in the Reich's foreign policy.

If I were a German I would have voted for Hindcnburg, as he will unite the factions of Germany, put down tho Reds, face the Soviet and raise hell with the Allies."
