REGULATIONS GAZETTED. (srBCIAL TO "the pbbss."j , WELLINGTON, Apiil 2. The regulations regarding tho killing of nativo and imported game were published to-day. Swivel and pump guns arc prohibited. No gun shall be used the bore of which is larger than number 12 at the muzzle, nbr shall any gun be used which exceeds 101b m weight. In addition to the above, the use- ot any automatic or uuto loading gun has been prohibited unless it is converted into a gun capable of carrying two cartridges only. Tho use of any rifle or pea rifle or punt gun in the taking or killing of game is also prohibited. No person shall use any cylinder for the purpose of taking or killing imported or native game in any lake or river, nor shall a silencer be used on any gun. No person shall use any live decoys for tho purpose of taking or killing imported {tame and native game. No person shall take or kill any imported game or nativo game during an open season in any district unless he is the holder of a license, provided that the- occupier of a property and anv one. son or daughter of such occupier, may take or kill without a license during an open season imported or native game which may be taken in the acclimatisation district in which such property is situated, or the occupier mav in writing appoint one other person to shoot in his stead.
