WAIMAKARIRI GLACIERS.
EXPEDITION ARRANGEMENTS,
The response made from those desirous of taking part in the expedition organised by the Canterbnry Progress League to the Waimakariri Glaciei* region during the approaching Easter holidays has-been- such .that final arrangements will ,be completed, it is hoped, in a day or two. Mr P. E. Climie, the League's organiser, told a roportcr yesterday that a meeting of all those interested, including thoso who have sent in tlreir names as being desirous of forming part of tho expedition, will be held, at wJiich final arrangements will be rnado for the expedition, and Mr Climie will, he hopes, be in a position to state the arrangements proposed in respect of transport "from the railway to the head waters of the Waimakariri and also the commissariat arrangements. The meeting will be asked to decide upon the duration of the trip, as to whether it will extend from Wood Friday till tho following Monday, or Tuesday. As previously stated, it is intended that eacn member of the party shall bear his share of transport, commissariat and other charges. These, it is estimated, should not be much over one pound a day, exclusive of train fare.
