CAR OVERTURNS.
HUSBAND AND WIFE DEAD.

AUCKLAND, April 1
Bruce Graham, storekeeper, Horotiu, and his daughter, Daphne, aged 14, received fractured skulls in a motor-car accident near Horotiu this afternoon, while Mrs Graham, his wife, had liorh iegs broken and her right leg badly lacerated. Olesen Graham, a partner, who was driving, escaped practically uninjured. Bruce Graiiam died on the tray to the Waikato Hospital, and Lis wite died shortly after admission. The daughter's life is despaired of. The accident occurred nt a difficult bend in the road. The car skidded on saud while trying to pas s another motor-car and crashed into a telegraph pole and overturned. The motor-car caught fire, but the flames were extinguished By residents nearby, who were soon on ih« scene. The car was badly damaged.
