CASUALTIES.
(rRESS ASSOCIATION- TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON", March 31. A message was received from Otaki to-night, stating that- Mr Ben Ling, an old resident of the district, who resided at the Jubilee Hotel, was leaning on the rail of the hotel balcony, when it collapsed and Ling fell to the ground, a distance of 15 feet. He fractured his skull and broke his nec-k, death being instantaneous. Mr Ling was a retired farmer.
