HON. SIR JAMES PARR.
. . VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH.
The Hon. Sir Janies Parr, Minister of Education, arrived in Christehurch from Wellington yesterday morning on a -§hort visit which will include a tour, in company with the Hop. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, of the Ellesmere district, where deputations will b© received on educational matters.This morning, at 8.45, the Minister will meet the Christehurch School Committees in the Ministerial rooms, atld at 10 o'clock he will meet the chairman and; members of tho Canterbury Education Board, at the Board's offices. Several deputations will then be received in the Ministerial rooms, and will be followed by a visit, by the Minister, to the Ciishmere School. In tho afternoon Sir James will go to Sonthbridgc, Leeston, and Tai Tapu, and will return to Wellington to-night.
