(Before Messrs A. D. Ford and A. L. Gee, J.P.'s.) DRUNKENNESS. , A statutory first offender, who had spent the night in gao!, was convicted and fined ss, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. A first offender, who had alto spent the night at the Police Station, was convicted and fined ss, in default 2+ hours' imprisonment. THREE CHARGES. Basil Claude Bailey, '27 - years of age, pleaded guilty to charges of drunkenness, having used obscene language in High street, and to having procured liquor during the currency of a prohibition order. On tho charge of drunkenness, he was convicted and fined ss, in default 24 hours imprisonment, but on the second charge he was convicted and sentenced to seven days imprisonment without the option of a fine. The charge of having committed a breach of his prohibition order was adjourned to January 7th.
