Captain Arthur, questioned with reference *to his share of Sir Hari Singh's cheque for £150,000. gave evidence that he was absolutely forced to receive £40,000, but had returned it to Hobbs and Newton almoßt immediately. (Received December 23rd, 8.40 pjn.) Captain Arthur alleges that ho was forced into the plot by thrfiats to expose his relations with a titled Englishwoman. "He was forced to sign a receipt for £40,000, and return the money.
