HAMPDEN BANK MURDER.

Francis Perking was' committed for trial on a charge of murder, and James Davies on a charge of aiding and abetting Perking in slaying William Almeida. [Robbers entered the Commercial 2anTc at Hampden, a suburb of Melbourne, on November 28th, just as the teller, Almeida, waa closing up, and demanded money. Almeida resisted, and was aeriously wounded in the chest by a revolver shot. Notwithstanding this, he chased the men and overtook one, whom he thought was concerned in the hold-up. He marched this man back to th* bank at the point of the revolver, but collapsed just before handing him over to the police.]
