NORTH BEACH QUEEN CARNIVAL.
The North Queen Committee held a ' flapper" cTenirig at the house of Mr Uren, Berry street, when there was an attendance of about 40 young people. The evening wa3 spent in game 3 and competitions. An alphabetical competition was won by Mr I'ov Peppereil and Miss Gott. Jlr Leslie Peters won a competition for a bos of chocolates, Mr Henry one for a bicycle tyro and Betty Scott one for a box cf handkerchiefs. The East Queen Committee held a "Hard up" social in the Surf Pavilion, when the room was filled to overflowing. Tho function was quite in keeping with the many merry evenings held in the pavilion, the fun being fast and furious. Prizes were won be Mesdamea Macdonald, Rowlands and Chubin, Messrs ilacdonald, Hutton and Throp.
