Thomas Leonard Jordan, a trimmer :ii | the AVaika.wa, was found guilty in tiio 1 Supreme Court of assaulting on the high seas Robert- Johnson, a, nreman, so as to cause him actual bodily hanu. A3 a result of the assault Johnson has had to have an eye removed, the operation being performed in the .Napier Hospital yesterday. Accused was remanded for sentence. George Edgar Casey and David Davis -.vero found guilty of assaulting Andrew Paxie, restaurant proprietor, and causing hiai actual bodily harm. The charge was ar. 'outcome of a disturbance at Pajae'a restaurant, which the accused attempted to leave after ha-ving a meal without paying. Paxie's right eye had to be removed as a. result of injuries caused .by a blow front Davis. Casey was recommended for mercy. Both were remanded lor sentence. Allan John' Davidson, eventually pleaded guilty at the Judge's suggestion to forging his wiles' name to a guarantee, and the jury rcominended him to mercy.
