A meeting of tho committee o£ the Canterbury Cricket Association was held last nght. Present—ileasre "W. Simpson (chairman), D. V. Smith, -A. R. Henderson, it. 11. North, W. 11. Patrick, C. J. After considerable discussion, it waa decided that tho boundary should icmam as at picsent. An application -was received from the Mairchau Cricket Club for permission to enter a. team in the third grade competition. . , The application wa3 granted subject to the ground being approved by the Competitions" Committee. A chahengo wus received from the ±.uesmete Cricket Association for a. match against the Xorth Canterbury Association, the present holders, of the Sub-Aiisociation3 Shield lv, was decided to forward tho challenge to tho holders. An application for a match arainst a young players' team to be played at Doyleston on .Labour Day wa3 referred to Mr Goldstoae. Tho sub-committee appointed to look into the question of tho advisability of the Association assuming control and financial responsibility of tho grounds reported as follows:—Regarding tho financial responsibility of the grounds, it is not considered advisable or practicable at this juncture for the Association to assume any liability a lessee, Tlio report was adopted. Messrs R. C. Blunt, A.
