School Jubilee. Arrangements arc to b<» ruado to fittingly celebrate tho jnbilee of the opening of the Lyttelton District High School, wfiich t>ill bo held in January nest. Billiards. The Lyttelton Club's weekly flying fifty billiard tournament on Monday nisht wa» won by W. Wales, who defeated A. Caaaio in the final. Spring Flower Show. Tho Spring Flower Show in connexion with Holy Trinity Church will bo held in tho Drill Hall this afternoon and evening and also to-morrow afternoon and evening. Notwithstanding tho dry season, a- good display of blooms is promised. There aro a large number of attractive stalls arranged, whUo special mention must bo made of several new and novel side-shows. The Pictures. "Tho Man from Glengarry," Ralph Connor's famous story, will be repeated at the Harbour Light Theatre to-night, together with a comedy, gazette; and a further episode of "Daniel Boone." To-morrow a double-featuro programme will bo submitted, consisting' of Harold Lloyd in "Dr. Jack," Jack Hoxie in "Ridgway of Montana," a comedy, and episode 6 of "Buffalo Bill." Methodist Church. An enthusiastic meeting 1 of the officials and members of the Methodist Church, Lyttelton, was held on Monday night, for the purpose of considering matters in connexion with the annual flower show and sale of work, io he held in May nest Soveral matters of great interest to exhibitors and stallholders we.ro discussed and adopted for the further efficiency and improvement of the autumn show, and it was decided to commence activities with a social, to bo held in the School Hall on October ttth, when the programme for the 1925 show would be fully explained and decided upon. From the enthusiastic tone of those present at the meeting, there is every reason to believe that the show will .eclipse all pieceding ones. Birthday Party. A most enjoyable evening was spent at . the residence of Mr and Mrs A. Hinds, Canterbury etroefc, Lyttelton, on Saturday, in honour of their daughter's ■ nineteenth birthday. Games and music wcro indulged in. A dainty supper was served in tho drawingroom, which, was artistically decorated with apring flowers. Mrs Hinds wore a navy crcpo do chino frock, beaded in gold, and Miss Hinds, apricot shot taffeta, with frilled georgette sleeves. Among those present were: Mrs E. White, Mrs J. Paull (Little River), Misses I. Sinclair, S. Sinclair, A. Shuker, L. Paulsen, P; Aycrs, D. Comfort, F. Carrell, T. Wyanan, and E. Wearne, Messrs R Paulsen, K. Paulsen, B. Collins, V. Duff, E.
