CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
At the Caledonian Ha.ll on Monday, the Canterbury Caledonian Society held its fortnightly social, which was largely attonded. lit the absence of the president, Mr George Scy, vice-president, occupied tho chair and was supported by Messrs A. McKenzio and G. Ritchie, vice-presidents. A first-class programme wa3 submitted. Tho following contributed items :—Selections, Society's Pipe Band, songa, Mis 30. Nightingale, Miss Vin3en, and Messrs "W. J. Spratt, and H. V. Ward; recitations, Mr Campbell Brown, Miss Annio Gale, and Mr Eraser Thompson; Highland Fling, Miss Joan Craig; Seann Triubhais, ilies Betty Kear. ncy; Irish Jig, Miss Mavis Ncate; Highland Reel, Misses M. Ncate, J. Craig, P. Gale, and M. Houghton. The accompanist for the evening was Mrs E, A. Smith.
