CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. A special meeting of tho ChxiEtchurch Bowling Club was hold in the pavilion last night. .Mr C. H. Piper (president) presided over an attendance of twenty-lour members. ■ Tho executive reported thai Mr J. O. Jameeon had resigned office as secretary, which he took, up lempoianly at tho annual meeting, and that Mr F. W. Broughton had been appointed secretary. Messrs C. T. ABchman, F. C. Gother and R. G. Power were elected members, and two resignations were received. The date for tho opening of the season was left to the discretion of the green superintendent with a recommendation that it should not be earlier than Saturday, October 11th. Aflor aouv* discission, canceling ino Centre competitions, it was resolved to enter a team for the Four Bini Championship and not to take part in tho pennant competition, that being the coarse that was followed last scaacn.
