The Federation of British Industries, in a letter to Mr Mac-Donald, points out the danger of completing a commercial treaty with Germany without consulting the Advisory Committee created by his Cabinet. The Brussels correspondent of "The Times" says that negotiations for a ■• trade agreement between Belgium and Germany have virtually broken down, the Belgian delegates being unable to agree to the German claim for the application of the most-favoured-nation clause without consulting their Government. The Dominion of Canada is offering a loan of 50,000,000 dollars at 4} per . cent. to. the Canadian public to-day.
