Eene Agar, Muriel Brow, and Phyllis Shaw, girl inmates of a rescue home at Leeds, carried out a daring coup. They bound the matron hand and foot and gagged her, locked two other inmates in a bedroom, gagged the dog with a dishcloth, cut the telephone wires to prevent alarm, and escaped in a tasi-cab, taking with them small sums of money. Of the three, only the girl Agar has been re-arrested.
